Moduł I

Treating the mother during and after the pregnancy

  • Physiological changes in pregnancy (hormones, respiratory, postural, cardiovascular, urinary).
  • Assessment routine of the pregnant patient.
  • Practical advice for the treatment of pregnant patients.
  • Adapted techniques in pregnancy.
  • Treatment of the mother during pregnancy to optimise pregnancy and labour.
  • Post partum treatment to treat birth injuries and trauma.
  • Facilitate breastfeeding.
  • Treatment of breast fascia, circulation for the breast.
  • Treatment of uterus involution difficulties.

Moduł II

The newborn baby

Termin zajęć:  21-23.01.2022

  • How to interpret pregnancy and birth case histories with regards to what they tell us about the child.
  • To understand the forces that are placed on the child during labour, which areas of body are vulnerable to stress.
  • Birth, effects of birth on the baby.
  • Reasons for babies crying and osteopathic treatment approaches.
  • Physiology and Anatomy of the newborn and how this influences treatment plans.

Moduł III

Physiology and patology of the newborn

  • Influence of mothers pharmacological treatment during pregnancy on newborn.
  • Psychological, emotional, social consequences of different type of birth.

Moduł IV

The first year:  development and how to enhance it

Termin zajęć: 22-24.04.2022

  • We will have an emphasis on practical work: Assessment routine of the infant.
  • Possibility of regulatory treatment using cranial, parietal and visceral techniques.
  • Demonstration of assessment routines on children in class.
  • Early immunological development.

Moduł V

2–6 years, the preschool child

Termin zajęć: 18-20.11.2022

  • Milestones of development age 2 -6 (motor, language, psycho social).
  • Examination routine for children of that age.
  • Treatment principles: Balanced ligamentous tension, Balanced membranous tension, Neutral / Meeting Place.
  • Otolaryngology: Embryology and development of hearing, Otitis media (Aetiology and treatment).
  • Infections, Enhancement of the paediatric immunesystem / Allergies / Thymus and lymphatic system.
  • Developmental delay.
  • Enuresis.

Moduł VI

Age 6-13

We will look at common problems which children at this age face and consider osteopathic treatment options for these problems in theory and practice.

  • Skoliosis
  • Learnng disabilities (dyslexia, dyspraxia)
  • ADS / ADHS
  • Autism
  • Headache / Migraine, Growth pains
  • Teeth / TMJ / Orthodontics

Moduł VII

Puberty and adolescence

Termin zajęć: 09-11.06.2023

  • Including psychological and  presentations of all age.
  • Time of Transition and Transformation – Staying Yourself but becoming another Person.
  • Physiologic, endocrinologic, neurologic and psychologic changes during adolescencse and how to ease them with the help of Traditional Osteopathy.
  • We will focus on: specialised knowledge to understand these changes; techniques to access functional axes of hormones, CNS, ANS, pathways of growth and developement.
